Article 1 Great summary and you did clearly state that it related to the microbiome and not to anatomy and physiology, but what about ecology, disease, and what it means to be an animal? I can see clear connections with ecology since it is talking about the interaction between humans and their gut microbiome as well as fecal transplants between people, it also talks about the balance between the gut and the microbiome and relates it to disease, but that functioning is also physiology.
Article 2 great summary, but how does it tie into the course topics? I gave you partial credit for anatomy, but you needed to make a case for the inclusion or lack of the other 4 topics.
Works cited and citations look great.

Find two recent articles from the last 5 years that relate to the course topics of human anatomy, human physiology, disease, ecology and the microbiome, and what makes an animal. For each article, summarize it and explain how it fits into the 5 course topics listed above. It is fine if your articles don’t cover every one of these topics, but make sure that at least one of your articles covers human anatomy or physiology and that at least one covers the human microbiome. Also make sure to go over each of the 5 course topics for each article, just state that the article didn’t cover that topic if you saw no coverage of it. One of the articles must be a news article and the other must be a peer-reviewed journal article. Summary of News Article on Human Microbiome: “Turning microbiome research into a
force for health”
This study describes MIT’s main role in microbiome research relies, to some extent, on
managing random regions from the start. MIT has been making significant efforts to characterize
microorganisms in research for some time by researchers such as the Parsons Institute for Civil
and Environmental Engineering and Professor Penny Chisholm (Winn, 2021).
This review article reveals information about the diagnostic potential of the microbiome.
It has also called for scientists from different fields to come together and dig deeper.
Interdisciplinary methods are important because even after the latest sequencing innovations have been applied to the microbiome, a lot of computer science and measurable strategies are still required to decipher more information. Ultimately, the microbiome contains more features than the humans genome. One of the driving forces behind the early collaborative microbiome effort was the Graduate Program in Microbial Sciences, which the MIT School of Microbiology selected and which spawned swarms of research across the laboratory (Winn, 2021).
The study called scientists who do not yet know which apparent microbial strains may play
a role in the health of people with microbial diseases. However, they do know that changing the
stool position, which includes the entire gut microbiome, to healthy contributors can help patients
with certain infections.
OpenBiome, a nonprofit founded by a group of MIT members including Smith and Alm,
was founded in 2012 to increase stool transplant recipients by adding stool classification providers
and then preparing samples to be transported for test purposes in an emergency clinic. Today,
OpenBiome works with more than 1,000 clinics, and initial field sequencing and clinical
investigations at the CMIT show, for example, that basic microbiome tests can quickly lead to new
therapies (Winn, 2021). The article was just limited to the human microbiome and did not talk
about any effects on human anatomy or physiology.
Summary of Peer-reviewed article on Human Anatomy: “Human anatomy education and
management of anatomic specimens during and after COVID-19 pandemic: ethical, legal
and biosafety aspects”
This article is about the analysis of legal aspects linked with human anatomy. It has
emphasized on adoption of safety measures for the possibility of avoiding infection with SARS-
CoV-2. The article has also reviewed the moral code and its impact on the display of images and
videos of corpses during virtual distance learning, an option known, unlike the COVID-19
pandemic. Given the laws of Latin American countries, these dialogues are based on considering
the legal and socio-cultural aspects of their neighbors, parallel to the dialogue on these two related
issues in the world region.
The aim of this article was just not to examine the best techniques for depicting life
structures, but rather the moral and legal aspect of presenting photographs and recordings of
examples of the human body in an online course (Lemos et al., 2021).
The study described a legitimate interaction in which a corpse was obtained for university
education and research. The rest of this human material, despite the latest advances in innovation, is part of an essential strategy for teaching and learning about the human life system. In any event, the Center for Life Saving Studies must take certain precautions due to the risk of exposure to various substances that can cause disease. All should strive for the adoption of set standards, and guidelines (Lemos et al., 2021). Proper implementation depends on the individual and collective responsibilities of students, teachers, professionals, and cleaning staff. This sparked a discussion of what was legal and moral about paintings depicting physical examples of people under Brazilian law.

Humans are complicated organisms. We have complex anatomy and physiology. The connection between anatomy and physiology should hopefully be clear, but how does the make up of our bodies relate to our ecology? How does our structure or anatomy impact the way that we interact with other organisms as well as resources? How do our bodily functions or physiology impact the way that we interact with other organisms as well as resources? Hint: the microbiome is probably a great way to look at how our anatomy and physiology interact with other organisms. Answer these questions in a creative way for an audience of your choice. Audiences could be your family, peers, church congregation, legislators, kindergarten class, etc. Any group that you might enjoy talking to about these topics. Be as creative as you want to be with this assignment, just do not turn in a traditional paper. You can submit a podcast, Powerpoint or Prezi presentation, series of art pieces, brochure or handout, etc. If you are not sure if a creative idea/project will work for the class, just ask me. Make sure to use either The Human Body or I Contain Multitudes and at least 2 of the readings/videos provided on Blackboard. Make sure that you cite your sources. For disease, how can these organisms either promote or prevent disease in humans? Answer these questions in a creative way for an audience of your choice. Audiences could be your family, peers, church congregation, legislators, kindergarten class, etc. Any group that you might enjoy talking to about these topics.
